Clement says he did speak to Wahta Chief Franks about Bala Falls concerns – twice

Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement’s office has issued a statement over this morning’s report about Wahta Chief Philip Franks’ Bala Falls letter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne. In the letter – here: http://wahtamohawks.ca/wp-content/uploads/Minister2.pdf Franks states he had not received a call from Clement about Wahta’s ‘duty to consult’ concerns and that a call had been placed by the First nation to Clement which had gone unanswered. Now Clement is letting locals know he has called Franks – twice. The following is the statement released by Clement’s office to local media this morning:

Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement would like to correct statements being reported today in local media regarding Bala Falls and Wahta Mohawks Chief Philip Franks.
