Shovels are hitting the ground this week to start the replacement of the Greavette Street storm sewer.
The Gravenhurst street will be closed except to local traffic for the duration of the project, which is expected to be finished next spring. The project is estimated to cost just under $1 million, and the town has deemed it a priority as the current system is too small and leaking out.
Local garbage and recycling collection services will not be impacted by the work.
