Contact North holding open house in Huntsville to talk about online college and university programs

If you’re thinking about taking some online classes, Contact North may have some options for you. The service is holding three open houses in Huntsville to provide details about online programs from colleges and universities, as well as literacy and basic skills and training providers.

Online Learning Recruitment Officer Robin Brushey says the open house aims to share information about their services and help students succeed in their studies, including information on programs, use of web conferencing, video conferencing and audio conferencing distance learning platforms. Brushey says students can connect to their online course from anywhere, including Contact North’s online learning centre which has access to computer workstations, high-speed Internet, and to write supervised exams and tests.

YMCA Employment Specialist Heather Dix says having Contact North come to Huntsville means that you don’t have to travel to Bracebridge to find out more about the organization. She says Contact North is known to the YMCA as the “go to” to find out more about online learning options.

The three open houses run from 2:00pm to 3:30pm on April 27th, May 18th, and June 15th. No appointments are necessary, and they will be held at the YMCA at 60 King William Street. If you can’t make the open house times, you can contact Brushey directly at 345 Ecclestone Drive, Unit 51 (co-located with Muskoka Futures in Bracebridge), by phone 1-855-699-6330 or e-mail  [email protected].
