Muskoka to start seeing signs of spring

After unusually cool temperatures in the region, things are forecasted to start warming up.

That’s according to Environment Canada, which is calling for temperatures to rise into the double digits over the weekend. Meteorologist Etienne Gregoire says this is very different than the cold weather and storms the area was hit with last weekend. He says you will finally start seeing temperatures around the normal daytime high of 10 degrees for this time of year.

But Gregoire also says, although temperatures will be warmer-than-usual to start next week, it won’t last long.

Gregoire says warms temperatures during the day with no rain, along with cool temperatures at night, will help slow down how quickly the snow melts.
