Eastern Ontario Trails Alliance and Park to Park Trail Association working to create ‘OnePass’ permit for trail users

A new ‘OnePass’ permit will have ATV-users in Muskoka covered this summer.

According to organizers of the Eastern Ontario Trails Alliance (EOTA) and Park to Park Trail Association (P2P), trailĀ users will be able to use both of their trail systems with just the one permit.

Authorities are saying that this agreement is beneficial for both trail organizations because it will meet the demands of trailer users which will allow them to discover more of cottage country through each trail system. According to officials from the Ontario Power Sports Working Group (OPSWG), a meeting held in March lead to the discussion of this collaboration of ‘OnePass’ as a way to give permit holders a greater expanded set of riding options for this coming season.

This move also stems from a process of collaboration sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport. Several other organizations are said to haveĀ expressed a desire to move to the ā€˜OnePassā€™ mechanism and are currently addressing that process with their boards.
