A balanced buyer / seller market predicted for Spring in Muskoka

A balanced buyer / seller market could be in store for Muskoka. That’s according to Mike Stahls, President of the Lakelands Association of Realtors Association.

Stahls says this year there was a drop in the number of listings by almost 40% compared to 2017. He feels the lack of housing inventory could be a result of the decline.

Stahl also says compared to last year’s seller’s market, which saw rising prices and quick-selling homes, this year could see an equal amount of buyers and sellers in the area.

With Spring on the way, Stahls says the real estate forecast will depend on the number of listings that come on to the market.

Stahls is also saying if you’re a first-time home buyer, or new to the Muskoka market, be sure to have local contacts.

The Lakelands Association of Realtors services Parry Sound, Muskoka, Haliburton and Orillia.
