A new subdivision could be coming to Bracebridge in the next few years.
Deputy Mayor Rick Maloney says a developer is interested in building housing along Manitoba Street just south of the Clearbook Trail intersection. Maloney says the plan was brought to council last year and was deferred with some question for the developer about the project.
Maloney says the land cleared right now is where the roads for the subdivision would go if the project is approved. He says the town is expecting to get a response in the next six months. Council will then make a decision on the project before sending it to the District of Muskoka for final approval.
Maloney says developments like this are a good indicator of how Bracebridge is continuing to grow in Muskoka.
