If you’ve ever dreamt of being your own boss, this is your chance. The Town of Gravenhurst is looking to make the dream of a local entrepreneur a reality with “WinThisSpace”. The contest is a chance for promising businesses to win a year’s free rent with a downtown location.
The prize storefront locations include 100 Muskoka St. N, 235 Muskoka Rd. S. as well as a shot at choosing your own preferred location. Also up for grabs are marketing dollars and building materials to kick-start a company’s future.
This contest website states this contest has been beneficial to other major cities in Ontario, helping with the local economy and creating employment. Gravenhurst Business Improvement Area is working with the Town of Gravenhurst, the Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce, Muskoka Futures and the Muskoka Small Business Centre are to recognize for the contest.
Ideas are due by Thursday, March 4th.
The winner of “WinThisSpace” will be announced on April 25th, 2018.
