Blasting in Bala is going to cause some traffic delays this month.
Swift River Energy will be blasting daily at the hydroelectric dam construction site along Muskoka Road 169. Drivers can expect full road closures in the morning at nine and in the afternoon at six for up to 30 minutes each time. Officials say blasting will not happen on Sundays and will be paused for the Easter long weekend as well.
The work is expected to run until May.
