Victims of Florida school shooting recognized by schools in Muskoka

Schools across Muskoka are lowering flags in recognition of a recent tragedy.

All the schools with the Trillium Lakelands District School Board have lowered their flags to half-mast in recognition of the victims that died during a school shooting in Florida.

A gunman reportedly pulled a fire alarm at the US high school on Wednesday afternoon and opened fire as teachers and students left their classrooms. Seventeen people were killed and 14 were injured. Police say a 19-year-old man was arrested and is facing over a dozen murder charges.
