Muskoka Lakes 2018 budget to have one final pass at council

Muskoka Lakes council is taking one last look at the 2018 budget details.

On Friday morning, councillors are expected to give the final approval to the proposal. Municipal Treasurer Shannon Johnson says some reductions to the Clerks, Fire and Roads departments has helped lower the anticipated tax impact on the community.

The increase is down from 11.26 per cent to 10.11 per cent. This would add about $7.16 to the tax bill for a $100,000 home. The meeting starts at 9 in Port Carling.
