More snowmobile trails open this weekend compared to last

There are more options for snowmobilers this weekend. The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs online trail guide has a number of trails listed as available in Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, and Huntsville.

The majority of trails around Lake Muskoka are open in south Muskoka, while the trails around Limberlost, Arrowhead, and Algonquin Park are open as you head north. There are also a lot of available trails in the South River, Port Loring and Restoule areas.

However, a portion of the trails are marked as yellow on the map which means limited availability. OFSC officials say that means there could be hazards on the trails, like trees or rocks. There are still trails listed as unavailable as well, which means they are off limits.

You can stay up-to-date with trails in your area on the OFSC trail guide.

The most recent trail status as of February 8th, according to the OFSC trail guide.
