Ecclestone Drive in Bracebridge is being shut down once again.
District of Muskoka officials the street needs to be closed due to concerns over tension cracks near the Silver Bridge. The road was closed all summer last year as district crews completely rehabilitated the stretch between the Silver Bridge and Wellington Street. New sidewalks, sewers and a bus stop were all added during the construction as well. District officials say the cracks were discovered while this work was being done. The road and sidewalks will be closed between the Silver Bridge and Kelvin Grove Park.
This new closure will start on February 5th and is expected to run until May. Businesses on the stretch of road will still be open and accessible from Wellington Street. The MyMuskokaNow newsroom will keep you updated on any new details released on this closure.
