OPP want safe and enjoyable long weekend for all

The OPP wants you to have a safe and enjoyable Labour Day long weekend. With the amount of vehicles that are expected to increase, police want everyone to have an increased sense of awareness. Officers will be out in full force this long weekend concentrating on the “Big Four” when it comes to traffic safety – aggressive driving, impaired driving, distracted driving and the lack of seatbelt use. In addition, the OPP Marine Unit will also be out there to make sure people are not drinking on the water and that boats have the proper number of approved personal floatation devices.
