Scott Aitchison, Huntsville mayoral candidate unveils 2014 municipal election platform

Huntsville mayoral candidate, Scott Aitchison has unveiled his 2014 municipal election platform. It’s focusing on four areas – infrastructure, fiscal responsibility, sustainability and growth. On his website he says council should manage taxpayers dollars carefully and responsibly and that he doesn’t believe the town should borrow any more money for capital projects unless the project generates savings or revenue to pay for the borrowing within a defined period of time. Aitchison says sustainability is not just a buzzword. He says the Town needs to look at new programs like the installation of solar panels on Town buildings to reduce the municipality’s footprint and costs. More information can be found at scottformayor.ca
