We’ll be getting our first look at Muskoka’s 2018 tax-supported budget early next year.
District officials plan to release the budget proposal the second week of January. This will give residents a chance to look proposed property tax increases and where the money is going. This would include road and other infrastructure repairs and upgrades as well as costs for new and current services like childcare and ambulance.
District officials will be holding public meetings on January 17th to the 19th to review the budget and hear from residents. The budget will be reviewed again one last time at the end of January before it gets a final stamp of approval by council on February 20th.
