Two Muskoka Lakes residents arrested in major drug investigation

Two people from Muskoka are facing charges in a major drug bust.

In September, a joint police task force began a major drug investigation in the Greater Simcoe Area named Operation Blackbird. During the investigation, police confiscated a variety of illegal drugs including cocaine, heroin, and oxycodone with a street value of over $120,000. Six people were also arrested.

From Muskoka Lakes, 28-year-old Chance Kay and 34-year-old Krista Chambers are facing a list of drug-related charges. These charges include possession of drugs for trafficking and possession of illegal weapons. Police have not released details on their court dates.
