It’s back to work tomorrow for Ontario’s college faculty.
After a special weekend sitting legislation passed today forcing the end to the college strike. Students at Georgian College will be back in class Tuesday but will have to cut their Holiday break short with classes running to December 22nd and starting back up just over a week later.
The province says students facing financial pressure because of the longer semester will be able to apply for assistance. The colleges and the union representing faculty failed to reach an agreement and teachers voted overwhelmingly late last week to reject an offer, forcing the government to step in.
