Remembrance Day ceremonies are being held across Muskoka

It’s time to pin on a poppy and pay your respects to our Canadian Veterans.
Remembrance Day is next Saturday and there are ceremonies being held across Muskoka in honour of the special day. Here is a list of all locations and times for these ceremonies:

Sunday November 5th

  • Baysville, 2pm at the cenotaph in Grist Mill Park
  • Dwight, 2pm at the Memorial Wall
  • Rosseau, 10:45am at the Rosseau Memorial Community Hall

Saturday November 11th

  • Bracebridge, 11am at the cenotaph in Memorial Park followed by a luncheon at the Bracebridge Legion afterwards
  • Huntsville, 11am at the Huntsville Legion Cenotaph followed by an event held in the Legion building and a parade at 1:30pm
  • Gravenhurst, a march will run from the Gravenhurst Opera House to the Legion before 11am followed by a luncheon in the Legion building
  • Port Carling, a parade will run from the Legion to the cenotaph starting at 10:30am with a reception held after the ceremony
  • Wahta Mohawk Territory, 10:30am at the Wahta Legion Cenotaph followed by a luncheon
  • MacTier, 11am at the MacTier Legion
