A Canadian watchdog organization is using satire to educate residents in Parry Sound and Muskoka.
The Canadian Taxpayers Federation has been driving around Ontario in the Kathleen Wynne’s Moving Company truck. Christine Van Geyn with the CTF says the vehicle is meant to represent the unintended consequences that may come from increased hydro prices, the jump in minimum wage and new taxes on businesses.
Van Geyn says they stopped in Parry Sound because rural and northern communities seem to be hardest hit by the increase in electricity rates.
The CTF is inviting affected residents and business owners to sign the petition against the provincial policies increasing the cost of living. You can find more information on this tour here.
