Explorers’ Edge looks to get the wheels turning on Cycling Tourism in Muskoka

Does Cycling Tourism have more potential in Muskoka? Explorer’s Edge thinks so.

The tourism research organization is holding a few workshops across the district next week. Executive Director James Murphy says the goal is to meet with business owners and local stakeholders to talk about the benefits of investing more in Cycling Tourism.

Murphy says he’s hopeful this will lead to more discussion around offering more bike-friendly events in Muskoka.

He says with so many bikers hitting the district roads in Muskoka already, it’s a no-brainer to tap into this hot tourism market.

The first two workshops are running on October 11th. The first one runs at Sawdust City in Gravenhurst at 9:30am and then officials will be meeting with business owners at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville at 2:30pm. Explorers’ Edge will then hold a final meeting at the Burk’s Falls Arena at 10:30am on October 12th.

You can find more information on these workshops here.
