Moose FM and Huntsville Hospital Foundation team up for a 12 hour radiothon on Friday

A 12-hour radiothon in support of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation kicks off Friday morning. Moose FM has teamed up with the hospital foundation to raise funds and support local healthcare.

Executive Director Katherine Craine says the government pays for the operating costs of the hospital, but community support is crucial in making sure it has all of the equipment it needs.

Craine says some of the equipment that money raised during the radiothon will help to buy includes ICU beds, a portable ultrasound machine, vital signs monitors and an operating room table.

She says the foundation looks at the list, and buys equipment for the different departments based on priority. Moose FM’s radiothon in support of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation runs from 6:00am to 6:00pm on Friday. You can donate by calling (705) 789 4461 or by coming into the studio at 7 John Street.
