Police in Muskoka are going to be hunting down distracted drivers this weekend.
Officials say 47 people have been killed on Ontario roads so far this year because of distracted drivers. That’s eight more deaths compared to this time last year. OPP Constable Mo Tilson says there’s no excuse.
The OPP is running a long-weekend campaign in Muskoka targeting people who aren’t paying attention. Along with distracted drivers, police will be looking for speeders and people who decide to get behind the wheel drunk.
