An annual initiative to attract new doctors is helping plan for Muskoka’s future health services.
This is from Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare CEO Natalie Bubela who was at a welcome ceremony for seven Northern Ontario School of Medicine students taking on clerkships in Bracebridge and Huntsville. Bubela says Muskoka needs to be prepared for the future.
The students were broken into groups and taken on scavenger hunts to tour Bracebridge and then were treated to a community BBQ in the afternoon. Three will stay in Bracebridge and four will be working in Huntsville until next year.
