The YWCA wants to help struggling Muskokans get ahead

If you feel like you’re drowning in poverty the YWCA is throwing you a line.
The Getting Ahead Initiative will be running for the fifth year in Huntsville, Bracebridge and Gravenhurst. The programs will run once a week in each community for 15 weeks. Coordinator Liz Angell says participants are invited to talk out their issues rather than be told how to fix their lives.

Each session comes with a free lunch and a free grocery voucher as well. Angell says funding only allows 15 spaces per community. Huntsville has filled up, but they’re still looking for participants in Gravenhurst and Bracebridge. You can find more information on this program and how to register here.
