You have an opportunity to help recognize people making a difference in Bracebridge.
The town is looking for a new member for its Community Recognition Advisory Committee. Town Councillor and Committee Chair Steve Clement says this group plays an important role in celebrating volunteers in the community.
Clement says the group meets about once a month during the year, which is easier for someone who wants to volunteer but doesn’t have a lot of free time. Every year the town takes in nominations for the Community Recognition Awards. Clement says this committee will review these nominations to find the community members that are most deserving of these awards. Applications for the position need to be into the town by Friday.
