OPP asking the public to keep an eye out for a stolen boat and trailer

A stolen boat and trailer is at the centre of a current OPP investigation. The Southern Georgian Bay detachment is asking for the public’s help in solving the crime, which happened last weekend sometime between Saturday, August 19th and Sunday, August 20th.

The boat and trailer were stolen from a Driftwood Cove Marina storage lot, which is on Port Severn Road north in Georgian Bay. The trailer is an EZ Load with Ontario plates of B3099R. It was hauling a 21-foot blue and white Doral boat, with an inboard/outboard 250hp Volvo engine. The OPP says there was also a 36-inch swim platform on the back, and a JL Audio stereo system on board.

Anyone with information is asked to call the OPP at 705-526-3761 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
