OPP continues searching for a missing teen in Algonquin Park

The Killaloe OPP is searching for a teenage boy who went missing in Algonquin Provincial Park.

It happened at around 8:00pm yesterday.

Police say the boy had been part of a high school canoeing trip. He had gone swimming in Big Trout Lake, went under the water, and did not come back up.

Constable Catherine Yarmel says a coordinated effort is underway to find the missing boy.

Yarmel says the boy’s condition is unknown at this time.
