Update 4:00pm: The special weather statement has ended for all of Muskoka.
Parts of Muskoka could see scattered thunderstorms with hail and strong winds today. Environment Canada has Gravenhurst and Bracebridge under a special weather statement, saying storms are developing south of Georgian Bay now, and will spread across eastern Ontario this afternoon.
The weather service says the storms could bring pea-sized hail and wind gusting up to 70 kilometres an hour. The odd storm could bring larger hail of one centimetre or larger. Environment Canada says the biggest concern is the storm damaging crops and plants.
