Flows may stay high on South Branch of Muskoka River and Moon River with possible heavy rainfall this weekend

The possibility of rain this weekend could keep water flows high in Muskoka.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says the flood warning will stay in effect for now for the South Branch of the Muskoka River and Moon River/Bala Reach.
Officials say there’s a chance we could see up to 65 mm or rain fall this weekend, but Environment Canada Meteorologist Peter Kimball says it’s still up in the air.
The outlook isn’t all bad though as the MNRF says water levels in other lakes and rivers are starting to drop slowly.
Kimball says April has been much wetter than normal with about 40 mm more rainfall than the 77 mm this month usually sees.
