Permanent washrooms could be on the way to River Mill Park

Huntsville is looking at some options to build permanent washrooms at River Mill Park. The town is putting out a Request for Proposal for builders to bring their ideas and costs to the town.

Right now, Huntsville has a deal with Coldwell Banker Thompson Real Estate for the washrooms on West Street. However, that lease is up at the end of June.

It’s going to cost a little over $12,000 to connect the new, permanent washrooms to water and hydro, and the cost of the actual building will come out as some options come forward.

It’s likely to be built along the treeline at the side of the playground. Town staff says that’s so kids won’t have to cross any roads or parking lots, and there are water and sewer hookups near by.
