Two Syrian refugee families have arrived in Bracebridge and the town is rolling out the welcome mat.
On Saturday, Mayor Graydon Smith and Deputy Mayor Rick Maloney joined in a welcome ceremony being held for the Khaleds and the Becks.
Smith says it is important to remember why these families were forced to leave their old lives behind.
Syrian Refuge Bracebridge, which is made up of the Bracebridge United Church and the Rotary Club, is the sponsor for both of these families.
