Almost $4 millionĀ is being injected into the Muskoka and Parry Sound area. The federal government is putting the money into 11 projects, ranging from hiring an Economic Development Officer in Lake of Bays to investing in private companies.
Sudbury MP, Paul Lefebvre, who made the announcement this week, says the investments are about job creation.
Lefebvre says all of the organizations applied for the cash, and they are approved based on how they will help to improve the local economy.
Lefebvre says the investments are to encourage businesses to create jobs in the area, some of which include hiring young interns.
