Seedling Day in Muskoka offers an opportunity to buy native plants for your property

The Muskoka Lakes Association is offering local residents and cottagers a chance to beautify your property with local plants.
Seedling Day kicks off on May 20th in Port Carling and there will be a variety of Muskoka-native plants to chose from for your property.
This includes pollinator plants like milkweed, pyeweed and black eyed susan as well as red oak, white pine and white spruce trees.
Officials with the MLA say the native water front plants can help improve water quality and keep your shoreline from eroding over time.
If you’d like to make a pre-order on these plants you can find more details here.
