Winter weather brings more freezing rain and snowfall to the Muskoka area

The winter weather is still going strong in the Muskoka district.
Over the afternoon this heavy rainfall is expected to switch over to snow.
Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says during the changeover, we’re likely to see some very slippery conditions.
We could see upwards of 25 mm of rainfall up until the afternoon and then the snow is expected to continue into Wednesday bringing 10 centimeters.
Coulson says high water levels on lakes and rivers should be expected, but flooding isn’t a concern as the temperature will be dropping quickly.
He says we likely won’t be seeing more seasonable temperatures until Sunday and we can expect to see the thermometer drop below minus 20 on Saturday.
