Bracebridge Mayor Graydon Smith says the recently approved municipal budget is planning for today and the future.
The recent budget, which was approved by council, is pushing taxes up about $22 on a $100,000 home in the town.
Smith says town staff has really focused on major projects to benefit the town like the public transit and free parking downtown.
He says this budget also puts money aside to plan for more major capital projects like the new arena complex and library.
A major budget driver this year is the infrastructure with $2.9 million put towards road and sidewalk rehabilitation.
