Huntsville council agrees to Pipe Man survey

Huntsville council is agreeing to survey the community about Pipe Man. During Monday night’s council meeting, the town’s Manager of Arts, Culture, and Heritage, Teri Souter, recommended a survey be opened up to see where the community wants to see the Pipe Man live.

Souter’s recommendation was to look at the results of the survey in the fall, a point of contention with a couple of council members. Councillor Bob Stone recommended the survey be looked at in May instead, but the majority of council shot that down. Some members were saying the town needs more time to get used to it, and others said the community needs to see it in all seasons before a decision is made.

Souter is now going to create a survey with the help of town management, and it will be released to the public.
