MNRF reminding anglers not to use live baitfish in Algonquin Park

Using live baitfish in Algonquin Park is costing a Pembroke man. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry fined the man $750 after finding the live baitfish during a field check.

This happened back in May of 2015, but was just heard in court in late December. The MNRF says it’s unlawful to bring live baitfish into the park to prevent invasive species and disease.
