Gravenhurst businesses can now apply for some funding to do upgrades

Some cash is being made available for Gravenhurst businesses to do upgrades. The town is putting $62,000 into its Community Improvement Plan fund, which means the downtown can apply for a piece of the pie to improve the look and viability of its buildings.

To be eligible, businesses have to be in the Community Improvement Area, and can’t have any outstanding taxes. There are a number of different categories taking applications, including signage improvements and landscaping work.

Business Development Coordinator, Jeff Loney, says the funding makes Gravenhurst a better place to live, shop, and work every day. Application details are on the Gravenhurst website.
