The District of Muskoka wants residents to be aware, there may be some interruptions in waste collection over the winter.
In December, waste collection services were stopped a few times due to bad weather conditions.
Officials say the contractor Progressive Waste Solutions must always consider the safety of its workers first before sending them out.
As the winter months continue, officials say this may happen again if the weather turns bad with either icy or snow-covered roads.
