Two men fined by MNRF for building a road on Crown Land north of Muskoka

On December 20th, the men were fined $1,500 each for their involvement in attempting to build a road near Harris Lake in Wallbridge Township.

In October, the men had been caught by Conservation Officers dumping materials and using heavy equipment near the lake.

Officers found about 430 metres of road had already been constructed leading towards properties on Harris Lake.

Neither of the men had a permit to build a road.

The sentencing was handed down in court in Parry Sound.
