A Parry Sound couple has had the pleasure of welcoming the first baby of 2017 into the region.
Just a few hours into the New Year, baby Hailee Rose Hall was born to parents Melissa Jackson and Gary Hall at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.
She has joined her two siblings, sister Starr-Lynn and brother Cleeo.
Jackson says she wasn’t expecting a New Year’s baby, let alone the first.

According to hospital officials, Hailee arrived two weeks ahead of her due date to ring in the New Year.
Officials say both mother and daughter rested comfortably after the birth.
