A 26-year-old female from Severn Township is dead after a car crash on highway 11 just north of Line 6 in Oro-Medonte. At around 9:40 Monday night, police say a southbound vehicle lost control before hitting the centre box beam barrier. Some of the debris from the initial impact caused two other vehicles to be damaged. The driver of the southbound vehicle was pronounced dead on scene. Police say because of the crash, northbound Highway 11 was closed at Line 5 and southbound Highway 11 was closed at Line 7 until approximately 6am yesterday morning.
