An organization in Huntsville is hoping to build a Community Sports Court with money from the Aviva Community Fund.
Highlands Youth for Christ is proposing a multi-purpose sports court that can be built on the south side of The Door Youth Centre.
The hope is to have this provide a space for a variety of sports including volleyball, basketball, ball hockey and an outdoor ice rink.
The organization has applied for the Large Ideas fund, which can run between $50,000 and $100,000.
So far the project has over 500 votes.
Aviva Community Fund initiative has run for the past seven years and has provided more that $6.5 million to various community projects across Canada.
