Huntsville's Town Clock will be fixed this week

Like the Huntsville OPP the Town has also been investigating what could have happened to our clock tower. Mayor Claude  Doughty says staff couldn’t find an obvious reason for the glass to break.

The broken piece will be replaced with plexiglas this week and should cost less than $1,000. Doughty says It’s a shame that the Huntsville Clock Tower was damaged.

Residents are outraged that someone could have purposely damaged an historical piece of architecture in our town. Doughty says we all take a lot of pride in our community and what it looks like.

The clock was defaced sometime Saturday night. If you have any information please call the Huntsville OPP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
