Local PC candidate says hydro bills still a concern with residents

PC Candidate Norm Miller is knocking on doors across the riding this week. Miller says one of the major concerns he’s been hearing form residents is the ongoing issue with electricity costs.

The PC is offering a policy Miller says would save families money. This would be done by ending subsidies for wind and solar energy.

Miller says their plan would save the average family $384 on hydro bills. The Progressive Conservatives would instead concentrate on hydroelectric nuclear gas and imports from other provinces that have cheaper energy.

Miller is in Huntsville today. He heads to Bala, Port Carling and Beaumaris tomorrow and Parry Sound on Saturday. The provincial election happens June 12th.
