Matt Richter wants Muskoka-Parry Sound to go Green on June 12th. The local Green Party candidate launched his election campaign tonight in Bracebridge. As Election Day looms closer, Richter says he’ll be pounding the pavement trying to reach voters and those who traditionally haven’t cast ballots. He criticized the Tories for saying solar energy was responsible for rising electricity costs. He says solar accounts for less than 1 percent of your electricity bill and that the real solution lies in Quebec. Richter says if Ontario chose overnight to bring Quebec hydro imports here, it would replace any need for rebuilding the Darlington Nuclear Plant. (Photo by Matt Sitler)
