Staff, physicians and volunteers at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare are celebrating STOP! Clean Your Hands Day. MAHC is happy to announce that their 2013-2014 hand hygiene rates not only surpassed internal Quality Improvement Plan targets, but also exceeded Ontario’s averages. The rate for hand washing before patient contact was 95.08% which is nearly ten percent higher than the provincial average. While washing hands after patient contact came in at 94.51% which is three percent higher than the provincial norm.
