Local Liberal Candidate Dan Waters slams PC Job Cuts Plan

Parry Sound-Muskoka Liberal candidate Dan Waters is slamming the PC election plan to cut 100,000 civil service jobs. PC Leader Tim Hudak’s plan would include cutting municipal jobs and Waters says “the Hudak / Mike Harris group” already cut Parry Sound-Muskoka to the bone in the past.  He says jobs that could be cut include Municipal fire fighters and police officers amongst others.

Local PC Candidate Norm Miller says Waters is engaged in fear mongering….

Miller says what has been talked about is getting rid of the wasteful bureaucracy of the Ontario Power Authority that directly affects the affordability of electricity rates. He also says getting back on track to job creation is the objective and that trimming the civil service is part of that. The PC plan is to create a million jobs over 8 years.
