Local MPP Speaks about Provincial Budget Presentation

Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP Norm Miller believes the provincial budget will make life more expensive for Ontarians.

The Ontario government tabled its budget yesterday in Ottawa and Miller says there will be a hike in certain costs for the people of Parry Sound-Muskoka.

He says the number of items his party was looking for didn’t make it into the budget.

The budget also has an increase in the drug benefits program for seniors. It will go from $100 to $170 with an additional $1 added to each prescription fee. Miller says there is good news for the shingles vaccine.

The provincial debt is estimated to reach $308 billion.
